    Bank Branches to Remain Shut for 13 Days in November

    The holiday list is published annually by the Reserve Bank of India. The bank decides these holidays based on festivals, state-based celebrations, weekend holidays, and national holidays

    As per a reliable news bureau, during the month of November 2024, banks are scheduled to remain closed for a total of 13 days due to both national and regional holidays.

    The public is advised to manage their bank-related errands and appointments in November in consideration with the complete list of bank holidays as per the list illustrated below.

    While this month has fewer holidays in comparison to last, there are certain long weekends in the month that bank employees can avail the benefit of.

    The first weekend in the month includes the festival of Diwali followed by a Sunday holiday. So, regions such as Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, and Nagpur will see a 3-day long weekend.

    Customers in the region are advised to plan their financial errands in advance to avoid any inconvenience.

    The holiday list is published annually by the Reserve Bank of India. These holidays are decided by the central bank on the basis of festivals, state-based celebrations, weekend holidays, and national holidays.

    Typically, banks in the country follow a holiday on all Sundays and second and fourth Saturday each month.

    November 1, 2024          Friday Diwali Amavasya (Laxmi Pujan)/Deepawali/Kut/Kannada Rajyothsava in Agartala, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Imphal, Jammu, Mumbai, Nagpur, Shillong, and Srinagar.

    November 2, 2024          Saturday       Diwali (Bali Pratipada)/Balipadyami/Laxmi Puja (Deepawali)/Govardhan Pooja/Vikram Samvant New Year Day Ahmedabad, Belapur, Bengaluru, Dehradun, Gangtok, Jaipur, Kanpur, Lucknow, Mumbai, and Nagpur

    During these holidays, the physical branches of the bank are closed for business. However, digital banking services such as UPI, internet banking, mobile banking, etc are easily accessible for all customers.

    The bank holiday calendar for the whole year is published by the RBI and this calendar is followed by banks across the country.
