Boney Kapoor and Sri Devi’s love story and marriage have been discussed over many years. Boney Kapoor, a prominent film producer, fell in love with Bollywood’s iconic actress of her era, Sridevi, in the late 1970s. Despite being married to Mona Shourie Kapoor, Boney pursued her, which eventually won her heart.
The couple got married in 1996 and had two daughters named Janhvi and Khushi. In 2018, Sri Devi’s tragic death was a huge loss to Boney. Sridevi passed away on February 24, 2018, in Dubai, due to “accidental drowning.”.
However, he still continues to remember her fondly.
Boney Kapoor on his Health and Weight Loss Journey
In a recent interaction, he shared about his health and weight loss journey. During the session, he also opened up about his late wife, Sri Devi. He shared that she was always worried about his weight and tried every trick in the book to make sure to keep his weight under check.
“The seeds were sown by my wife. She was always after me to lose weight,” he mentioned.
He highlighted that her wife was a health-conscious person. He used to go for walks and to the gym with her. She always knows when and what to eat, and though Boney Kapoor tried his best to follow the same, he couldn’t.
Boney Kapoor on Sridevi
Further, as Boney Kapoor shares more about Sridevi, he is seen getting overwhelmed with the emotions. With sentiments echoed in his voice, “I feel Sri is still around me; my wife is still around me and motivating me to lose weight,” he added.
Moving ahead, he shared that the doctor also said the same thing: that he should lose weight before you think of doing a transplant. Here I am; I’ve lost some weight,,” he added.
Additionally, Boney Kapoor said that his weight loss transformational journey began after he appeared in Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar.
Reflecting upon his experience, he explained, “When I shot for Tu Jhoothi Main Makkaar, at that time, I didn’t even lose weight. I was my original self. It was after the shooting that I decided (to lose weight) because whenever I watched myself on screen, I didn’t like the way I was looking. Maybe I was playing the part that was asked of me to do. But I still felt that I was not looking the way I would want myself to come across on the screen. That’s where the initial thought started.”
