    Media, Education and Glamour get a Dose of AI in India

    Now that Artificial Intelligence (AI) is everywhere, the introduction of AI-generated anchors and beauty models in India, are creating new benchmarks! From newsrooms to classrooms to contests for beauty models, AI is fast sweeping almost every domain. 

    These artificial anchors and models are creating waves, transforming established norms and setting benchmarks of authenticity.  

    The days where individuals were the only media personalities are long gone. Science fiction technology allows AI anchors to not only present news but also to create space for themselves as AI-generated models in the fashion industry and AI teachers in the education sector.

    AI in media 

    AI anchors are starting to take the center stage in newsrooms as these digital presenters deliver news 24/7 without error and fatigue. They have the capacity to handle large amounts of data and give real-time quick updates and analysis. 

    Interestingly, Asian nations are leading the way in this field. Indian recently debuted Lisa, the first AI regional news anchor.

    “Lisa”, the nation’s first regional AI news anchor, is an important victory for the Artificial Intelligence sector as well as OTV. This new discovery is proof of the great transformation in TV broadcasting and journalism.

    In a video that the OTV (Odisha Tv network) posted to X (formerly Twitter), Lisa gives a discreet introduction of herself.  

    AI in Educational sector 

    AI anchors in India are revolutionizing the education sector too. Online learning platforms are using these virtual teachers to provide the students an interactive and adaptive learning in their preferred languages. These AI professors offer feedback to individuals and even modify their teaching style according to the student’s need. 

    Iris, the AI Teacher

    An innovative step by Kerala has taken with the introduction of first generative AI teacher, Iris. This development marks a significant advancement in the integration of artificial intelligence in the education field. The project is done in collaboration with MarkerLabs Edutech Private Limited, unveil at KTCT Higher Secondary School in Thiruvananthapuram. Iris is India’s first humanoid designed teacher to enhance the learning experience of students.  

    AI in Glamour 

    AI models are even leaving their imprint in the world of glamour. The recently hosted ‘Miss AI’, World’s Beauty Pageant Contest is an example of it. Organized by the World AI Creator Awards, the Miss AI Competition is the first contest where AI beauty models will compete to win the title. Many countries are contesting in which India is one of them and the AI model, named Zara Shatavari is contesting.

    Zara Shatavari is representing India in the ‘Miss AI’ contest and has made it to the list of Top 10 out of more than 1,500 international entries. This AI model was created by the co-founder of an Indian mobile advertising agency, Rahul Chaudhari. The model is a mix of cultural authenticity and advanced technology, which made her stand out in the competition. Apart from being a digital model, Zara is also a health and fitness influencer with more than 8,000 followers on Instagram.

    The introduction of AI anchors and models across media, education and glamour sector sets a milestone in our technological evolution. New trends and information are spreading with creativity and innovation.  

    The future with these humanoid figures will be a bit challenging as the rise of AI is replacing human resources and raising questions about human value.
