US Constitution Removed Goes Viral
As Trump took charge as the new President, the White House Website welcomed him back to Power by stating ” America Is Back” along with a lot of executive orders signed such as the Birthright law. In the meantime, when netizens went through other pages of the website, they found that an error occurred while they clicked the US Constitution page, with the text displayed “404 Error Page not found”.
This was shocking for the netizens and the screenshot of the page having a 404 error went viral on social media prompting citizens to have various thoughts over this sudden disappearance of the page. Already the birthright law that has been changed is facing a legal battle at the court for claiming that the parents should be US citizens for the child to be called a US Citizen from now on. Human rights activists’ advocates and also common people are against this new EO as this disobeys the 14th Amendment of the Constitution.
With all these issues going the removal of the Constitution page from the White House website has made people think twice about Trump’s administration. Additionally, the Spanish language version of the website also seems missing from the White House website which adds to the confusion.
Response From the Officials
“It’s day two. We are in the process of developing, editing, and tweaking the White House website. As part of this ongoing work, some of the archived content on the website went dormant. We are committed to reloading that content in a short timeline,” said principal White House Deputy Press Secretary Harrison Fields, She also said that the Spanish translation of the website will also be brought back soon and currently the team is working on it.
