On Saturday, February 22, the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) was left embarrassed and stunned at Lahore’s Gaddafi Stadium during Australia’s Group B clash against England.

The venue accidentally played India’s national anthem, Jana Gana Mana for a few seconds after England’s anthem was over and then Australia’s national anthem was to be played.
This is surprising after India refused to travel to the neighboring country, for their respective matches, citing security concerns and play all their ICC Champions Trophy fixtures including a potential final at the Dubai International Cricket Stadium in Dubai.
India and Pakistan are supposed to play their match in Dubai on Sunday, February 23 after the hosts lost the tournament opener to New Zealand while India defeated Bangladesh to get a head-start in the competition.
The two sides are also the finalists of the 2017 edition of the tournament where Pakistan had got the better of the then defending champions, India.
Pakistan vs India in the ICC Champions Trophy takes place Sunday February 23 at the Dubai International Stadium in the UAE. The action will begin at 9am UK time (2pm Pakistan time, 2.30pm Indian time).

Political tensions between the two nations have led to strained sporting relations and India, cricket’s richest and most powerful country, have not played a game in Pakistan since the 2008 Asia Cup.
The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) reached an agreement with the International Cricket Council (ICC) and Pakistan that both nations would play all ICC events hosted in either country at neutral venues until 2027.
