A shocking incident unfolded in Chennai on Monday as a mob dressed in sanitary workers’ uniforms stormed the residence of YouTuber Savukku Shankar. In a brazen act of vandalism, they dumped buckets of slush, filth, and human feces throughout the home, including the kitchen, hall, and other rooms. The attack appeared to be a retaliatory action in response to Shankar’s alleged remarks concerning sanitation workers.
Mother Threatened and House Ransacked
At the time of the attack, Shankar’s mother, Kamala, was alone at home. Nearly 20 individuals forced their way in through the rear entrance, ransacking the premises and issuing severe threats. The assailants allegedly warned her that her son would face dire consequences if he continued to speak. In a further act of intimidation, they confiscated her phone, made a video call to Shankar, and hurled abuses at him before fleeing the scene.
Expressing her distress over the incident, Kamala said, “If there is an issue with my son, then legal action should be taken.
