    Cubicle Tragedy: Woman Found Dead Four Days after Last Clock-In

    A disturbing incident and tragedy occurred at a Wells Fargo office in Tempe, Arizona. Denise Prudhomme, a 60-year-old employee was found dead in her cubicle four days after she last clocked into work.  

    Denise was discovered on August 20, 2024, after being reported missing for several days. The case has raised questions about workplace monitoring and safety.

    Denise Prudhomme arrived at the Wells Fargo office located near Priest Drive and Washington Street in Tempe at around 7 a.m. on Friday, August 16. According to the Tempe Police, Denise checked into the building at that time, and there were no further recorded entries or exits from the office afterwards.

    On Tuesday, August 20, on-site security staff found Denise dead. Someone reported that an employee was not responsive, which led to the discovery of the body. They declared Denise dead at 4:55 PM that day.

    The preliminary investigation has not indicated any signs of foul play. The Maricopa County medical examiner’s office will determine the exact cause of death.

    Tempe Police responded swiftly to the Wells Fargo office after a security alert. According to initial reports, there were no clear signs of violence or struggle. Police have stated that the investigation is still in progress, but further details will come after the medical examiner’s report. 

    According to some reports, it remained unclear that how Denise went unnoticed for several days. The third-floor cubicle where they found her dead is far from the main walkaways. The location might have contributed to the delay in discovering her body.

    Consequently, some reports indicate that several employees had noticed a foul smell but initially thought it might be due to some plumbing issues, which further complicated the situation. 

    Employee reactions and response on the Incident  

    The delayed discovery of Denise’s body has caused frustration and concern among her colleagues. An anonymous employee expressed dissatisfaction with poor communication and lack of attention, calling the tragedy as a case of negligence. The employee found it distressing. Therefore, they were troubled Denise’s absence had not been noticed sooner. 

    Another employee described the tragedy as deeply unsettling, pointing out how sad it is to think and realize that Denise has spent her final days alone in the office. This situation has also sparked talks about improving workplace monitoring to address and handle such cases more quickly and efficiently.
