    The automotive revolution in India is getting exciting day by day. The leading manufacturers are setting the bar high by launching new generation innovative EVs.  

    Maruti Suzuki’s strong commitment and bold entrance into this exciting new era reinforced with the launch of their first EV is thriving towards sustainable driving. Additionally, industry heavyweights like Hyundai, Kia and Tata Motors, etc., are gearing up to release their own cutting-edge electric models.

    Maruti Suzuki eVX

    Maruti Suzuki is all set to mark a major milestone by launching its first electric vehicle. The first EV, an SUV named eVX was first unveiled at Auto Expo 2023. The vehicle was developed in partnership with Toyota. The eVX features a length of 4.3 meters and wheelbase of 2.7 meters.  

    Expected highlights include a dual-screen setup, a 360-degree camera, Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS) and a stunning range of approximately 500 km. 

    Mahindra XUV.e8

    Serving as the electric version of the XUV700, the XUV.e8 is set to play a significant role in Mahindra’s upcoming line of electric cars. The key anticipated features might have an 80-kWh battery and provide 230 horsepower and 350 horsepower.  

    The EV may also have a twin-motor arrangement for all-wheel drive. Although the precise range has not been confirmed yet, the higher-powered variant should be able to deliver up to 450 km on a single charge.

    Mercedes EQG

    The new EQG is the electric counterpart to the tough G-Class SUV. Retaining its iconic boxy shape, it incorporates several bodywork modifications to improve aerodynamic efficiency. The EQG is constructed on a ladder-frame chassis and is meant to be as durable and strong as its internal combustion-engine predecessor. Featuring four motors—one for each wheel, the EV provides outstanding off-road capabilities.  

    Notably, the addition of G-Turn capability allows the vehicle to turn the wheels in opposite directions. This way the car will do a precise 360-degree turn.  

    Mini Cooper SE

    The latest three-door electric hatchback is constructed on a custom EVs platform, provided by Spotlight Automative. It is a joint venture between Great Wall Motor and BMW located in China. It retains Mini’s iconic design elements, featuring a distinctive triangle taillight, a bigger octagonal grille , and circular headlights. 

    The vehicle’s overall length has been shortened, while its wheelbase has increased, making room for the battery.

    BYD Seal

    The BYD Seal, after its first look at 2023 Auto Expo, was about to have the premiere in the middle of 2023. It is currently projected to debut in 2024 as the third BYD model for the Indian market. Internationally, there are two options available for the BYD Seal: a 61.4 kWh pack with a 550km range and an 82.5 kWh, with range of 700km.  

    In 3.8 seconds, the EV can accelerate from zero to one hundred kilometers per hour. It’s unusual interior reminisces memories of the Atto 3.
