    Arvind Kejriwal’s Resignation

Kejriwal shocked the nation with his sudden declaration of resignation from his post as Delhi CM, a mere days after the Delhi High Court granted him bail.

The Ex-Delhi CM, in his statement, said, “Two days later, I will resign as Chief Minister. I will not sit on the chair till the people announce their judgment. Elections are months away in Delhi. I got justice from the legal court; I will get justice from the people’s court. I will sit on the Chief Minister’s chair only after the order of the people.”

He further added, “I want to ask the people of Delhi, is Kejriwal innocent or guilty? If I have worked, vote for me.” Additionally, he demanded the elections to be held in November 2024, and not in February 2025.

Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal significantly share a history, with their involvement in the movement against corruption. The movement was the point when Arvind Kejriwal, a typical middle-class Indian, came up with the idea of starting a new political party.

Within the months, Kejriwal commenced the Aam Aadmi Party with the symbol of a broom, specifically targeting the corruption in the nation. Back in 2013, Hazare refused to pass any comments regarding this, stating, “Whatever is good, let him do that… He will do whatever is right.”
