    Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru Receives Bomb Threat

    Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru received a bomb threat via email from an unknown individual. Notably, the hotel is known for accommodating some notable influential personalities including Politicians and Cricketers. The threat was received earlier on Saturday, September 28, 2024.

    Following this, the local police and bomb squad teams reached the spot immediately and began a thorough investigation into the matter.

    “Taj West End Hotel in Bengaluru received a bomb threat reportedly through an email from unknown miscreants. The hotel, known for hosting prominent figures got the threat earlier today. Local Police and the bomb squad have rushed to the scene and currently conducting a thorough investigation. Further details awaited.”

    After receiving the bomb threat email, the DCP Central issued a statement, which reads, “Good Morning friends. We received the bomb threat mail this morning to Taj West East End Hotel in High Grounds PS our BDDS and ASC team checked the premises and found it to be a hoax threat email. We will take a complaint and investigate”.

    Probe was launched into the matter

    Meanwhile, a probe has been launched into the matter to identify and trace the individual behind the threat.

    Recent cases of Threats

    This incident comes following the Haji Ali Dargah in Mumbai receiving threatening phone calls, claiming a bomb was planted at the Dargah.

    In an initial investigation, it has been revealed that the calls may have been suspected to be made from Delhi. Both Mobile numbers used to make calls have been traced by the Mumbai Crime. They conducted a thorough investigation along with Tardeo Police after a complaint was filed by Mohammad Ahmed Taher Sheikh, the administrative officer of the dargah. A person named Pawan was held by police for allegedly making two threatening calls, claiming a bomb had been set at the dargah.

    The suspect also threatened to shoot anyone who interfered and was arrested by police. He was charged with multiple sections of the Bhartiya Nyaya Sanhita, including charges for public disturbance and incitement of religious tensions.
