Algeria’s Chief of Staff of People’s National Army Visiting India

General Sad Chanegriha, Minister Delegate to the Minister of National Defense, Chief of Staff of PeoplesNational Army, Algeria, will be on an official visit to India from February 06 to 12, 2025.
General Chanegrihas visit paves the way for continued collaboration between the militaries of India and Algeria.
It will further deepen the strong bonds & historical relationship between the two friendly nations and enhance their cooperation on matters of mutual interest.
He will attend the inauguration of Aero India 2025 in Bengaluru and interact with Raksha Mantri Rajnath Singh.
The much-awaitedAsia’s largest aerospace show & exhibition Aero India 2025 will take place in Bengaluru from February 10-14 at the Air Force Station Yelahanka. Aero India isthe country’s premier aerospace and defense exhibition where global aero vendors and the Indian Air Force (IAF) thrill the spectators with back-to-back aerobatic flying displays.Aero-India is a biennial air show and aviation exhibition.
Russia and the US are set to showcase their stealth fighters, the Su-57 and F-35, at Aero India 2025. This signals potential competition for India’s defense market, despite India’s commitment to developing its own fifth-generation fighter, the AMCA.
The HAL/ADA AMCA, Advanced Medium Combat Aircraft(AMCA) has been planned to be a single-seat, twin-engine, all-weather fifth-generation stealth, multirole combat aircraft being developed for the IAF and theIndian Navy(IN).
According to the Ministry of Defense, this event, is themed ” The Runway to a Billion Opportunities,” aims to foster global partnerships, promote indigenization, and explore new avenues in the global aerospace value chain.
The Minister Delegate will attend the Defence Ministers Conclave on the theme BRIDGE Building Resilience through International Defence and Global Engagement, facilitating dialogue towards strategic partnerships. He will also hold key meetings with his counterparts on the sidelines of Aero India.
In New Delhi, the General will lay a wreath at the National War Memorial and will be accorded a Guard of Honour. He is scheduled to meet Chief of Defense Staff General Anil Chauhan and Defence Secretary Shri Rajesh Kumar Singh.
General Chanegriha will also visit several military institutes, including the Defense Image Processing and Analysis Centre of the Defense Space Agency, the National Defense Academy at Khadakwasla and INS Hansa, the premier Naval Aviation training establishment.
He is also scheduled to visit Defense & Aerospace public and private establishments including BrahMos Aerospace; Goa Shipyard Limited; Bharat Electronics Limited; L&T Defense; and Bharat Forge.
