Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) supremo Arvind Kejriwal recently visited Punjab, marking a significant moment for the party’s governance in the only state where it holds power. His visit coincided with the completion of three years of the AAP government in Punjab and included multiple political engagements, prayers, and developmental initiatives.
Arvind Kejriwal and Punjab Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann visited the revered Golden Temple in Amritsar. The duo offered prayers on the completion of three years of the AAP government in Punjab, seeking divine blessings for the continued service of the people. Kejriwal acknowledged the guidance and strength received from the Almighty in governing the state, emphasizing that their goal is to serve rather than wield power.
Kejriwal, who had just concluded a 10-day Vipassana meditation retreat in Hoshiarpur, addressed the media in Amritsar. He dismissed opposition claims that Bhagwant Mann would be removed from his position, reaffirming that Mann would complete his full five-year term as the chief minister of Punjab.
During his interaction with reporters, Kejriwal underlined the major challenges confronting Punjab: drug abuse and corruption. He declared a united fight against these problems, calling it a battle for “nyay” (justice) and highlighting the collective effort of Punjabs three crore residents in this struggle.
“Today, the biggest problems in Punjab are drugs and corruption. Three crore people of Punjab have come together to wage war against drugs and corruption… this is a battle for justice,” he stated, reiterating his governments commitment to addressing these critical issues.
Kejriwals visit also included a key meeting with industrialists on Monday, where he outlined various initiatives aimed at boosting Punjab’s industrial sector and infrastructure development. His government remains focused on fostering economic growth and job creation, aligning with AAPs broader vision for progress in the state.
The Aam Aadmi Party had formed the government in Punjab in 2022 with a resounding mandate, securing 92 of the 117 assembly seats. Over the past three years, the party has sought to implement transformative policies and enhance governance in the state.
Arvind Kejriwal and Bhagwant Mann inaugurated the newly renovated civil hospital in Ludhiana on Tuesday. A major highlight of this development was the establishment of a modern, fully modular orthopaedic operation theatre, constructed at a cost of nearly 1 crore.
This advanced facility is equipped with state-of-the-art surgical instruments, allowing healthcare professionals to perform complex orthopaedic procedures with precision and efficiency. The operation theatres design ensures a sterile and infection-controlled environment, significantly improving patient care.
