The recent floods in India have caused havoc, including the loss of lives and livelihoods adversely affecting communities. MSIL’s contribution is intended to assist the government in providing relief and rebuilding efforts throughout the country.

Mr. Hisashi Takeuchi, Managing Director and CEO of Maruti Suzuki India Limited, stated, “We stand in solidarity with the individuals and families affected by the recent natural calamities. In times of crisis, it is a collective responsibility to stand together and rebuild. Our contribution is a humble gesture to support the government relief and rehabilitation efforts for affected communities.”

Beyond donations, MSIL, as part of its Customer First ethos, organized several wetlands or pooled activities to support areas in India that localized floods. They established an integrated pre-emptive alert system to advise customers about calamities so they can take steps to minimize vehicle damage. From July 2023 to August 2024, MSIL sent 170 lakh advance weather-related alerts based on weather reports from the Government of India. Timely advisories allowed customers to take measures to minimize, and sometimes prevent, vehicle damage.

In affected areas, the workshops operated in longer shifts to ensure vehicles were restored as quickly as possible, and additional car repair labor was identified surrounding our area and kept in the area on standby to go to impacted workshops to help repair vehicles.

    • Maruti’s On-Road Service (MOS) teams are available 24X7 to affected people and assistance can be requested anywhere anytime through just a click in the Maruti Care App.
    • Alternatively, the services can also be availed by calling its toll-free number 1800 102 1800 / 1800 1800 180.

Area-wise Service Managers have been assigned to help and support customers in distress. The customers were provided with the direct cell phone numbers of the Service Managers to remove any delays and assist the people from flood affected areas.
