Diljit Dosanjh, Punjabi superstar, has been ruling the hearts of fans with his "Dil-Luminati India tour". His songs have become very popular and he has also amassed a great fan following as an actor.

Diljit Dosanjh revealed the first look of his upcoming film Punjab '95 today, offering fans an intense glimpse of his character as activist Jaswant Singh Khalra.

The film, based on the real-life story of activist Jaswant Singh Khalra, showcases Diljit in a powerful role. The actor-singer, celebrated for his versatility, shared the first look on Instagram this Saturday, giving a sneak peek into his portrayal of Khalra in the film.

In the first image, Diljit Dosanjh is captured sitting on the floor in a raw and rugged look, dressed in a simple kurta and turban. His bloodied and bruised face conveys a powerful sense of pain and resilience.

Another photo gives a glimpse into Khalra's personal life, showing Diljit as Khalra, posing with two children, offering a heartfelt preview of the activist's real-life journey.

As reported , the film made headlines last year when it encountered significant challenges with the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC), which proposed between 85 to 120 cuts.

One of the most controversial suggestions made by the CBFC was the removal of activist Jaswant Singh Khalra’s name from the film.

According to the report, omitting the protagonist’s name would not only be disrespectful to Khalra but also to his family, undermining his legacy.

The CBFC also reportedly asked the filmmakers, Honey Trehan and Ronnie Screwvala, to consider changing the title Punjab ’95, which directly references the year Khalra went missing.

Fans have showered love on the actor and feel that he is completely ruling hearts. People have loved the way Diljit has completely transformed himself as Jaswant Singh Khalra.
