 Pahalgam Attack

Dipika Kakar and Shoaib Ibrahim are one of the most loved couples in Indian television. The couple were vacationing in Kashmir with their son Ruhaan, just a day before the Pahalgam terror attack.

Addressing the security concerns, Shoaib wrote on their Instagram story, " Hi guys, U all have been concerned for our well-being... Hum sab safe hain theek hain, aaj hi morning me we left Kashmir... (We all are safe, we left Kashmir this morning), and we reached Delhi safely... Thank you for all the concern.. New vlog coming soon."

For last few days Shoaib and Deepika shared pictures and videos from the valley. They are seen enjoying the scenic beauty with their son.

The Pahalgam incident

A terrorist attack occurred in Pahalgam, Jammu and Kashmir, on April 22, 2025, where gunmen opened fire on tourists near Baisaran meadow, resulting in 26 deaths and over 20 injuries.

The attack, claimed by The Resistance Front (TRF), a Lashkar-e-Taiba offshoot, targeted tourists from various states, including Rajasthan, Uttar Pradesh, Odisha, and Maharashtra.

An officer from the Navy and another from the Intelligence Bureau were also killed in the attack. Military choppers were pressed into service for the evacuation of those injured in the attack, as the area is only accessible on foot or horseback.

Union Home Minister Amit Shah condemned the attack, assuring that perpetrators would face harsh consequences. Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha described it as a "cowardly act" and announced an ex gratia of ₹10 lakh for the families of the deceased and ₹2 lakh for the injured.

Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah expressed shock, describing the attack as "much larger than anything we've seen directed at civilians in recent years".

Kashmir have seen many such incidents in the past. Some of them are 2016 Uri Attack, where Jaish-e-Mohammed carried out an attack on an Indian Army brigade headquarters in Uri, killing 19 soldiers.

2017 Amarnath Yatra Massacre, where militants attacked a bus carrying pilgrims, killing 7 people.

2019 Pulwama Attack, Jaish-e-Mohammed claimed responsibility for a suicide bombing that killed 44 CRPF personnel. In the name of religion, mass killing of Hindu tourists is raising concern among the people.
