Did you know that Akshay Kumar’s Khel Khel Mein is the 28th remake of Italian movie Perfetti Sconosciuti (another name for Perfect Strangers). The movie is directed by Mudassar Aziz, starring Akshay Kumar, Taapsee Pannu, Vaani Kapoor, Fardeen Khan, Ammy Virk, Pragya Jaiswal and Aditya Seal.

This Italian movie holds the Guinness World Record, with 27 official remakes in languages including Korean, Japanese, Spanish, Egyptian, and Indonesian. In India alone, this movie has been remade 3 times and ‘Khel Khel Mein’ is its 4 remake. The movie is already screening in the cinemas.

    About Perfect Strangers

Perfect Strangers was originally screened in 2016, featuring an ensemble cast including Giuseppe Battiston and Anna Foglietta. There hasn’t yet been an English version of this 28-time remade movie. The Weinstein Company had initially planned an English remake but went bankrupt before its release.

The movie Perfect Strangers revolves around the story line of a group of seven lifelong friends. They decide to engage in a dinner party and play a revealing game: where they must keep their phones unlocked and read aloud any incoming texts, emails, and notifications. The game leads to a series of unexpected disclosures, ultimately testing their friendships and relationships.

    Indian Remake of this movie

Amazingly, Perfect Strangers has previously been remade three times in India. First remake was in Kannada as Loudspeaker, and then twice in Malayalam as 12th Man and 1001 Nunakal. Khel Khel Mein is the fourth Indian version.

Initially, the movie kicked-off with positive reviews, however faced challenges to make an impact at the box office.
