After breaking the box office records with her latest block buster film, Stree 2, Bollywood Star Shraddha Kapoor’s craze has risen among fans. The actress has now achieved a significant milestone by becoming the third-most followed Indian celebrity on Instagram.
Shraddha now boasts of 91.4 million followers on her official Instagram handle, placing herself ahead of none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi, who currently has 91.3 million followers. The achievement places her amongst the third most followed Indian celebrities on Instagram, following Cricketer Virat Kohli, Actress Priyanka Chopra, having 271 million and 91.8 million followers respectively on Instagram.
The list further features, Alia Bhatt, the fifth-most followed Indian celebrity with 85.2 million fans worldwide. Deepika Padukone comes later in with 79.9 million followers.
Also, on social media, Prime Minister Narendra Modi remains dominant as the most followed global leader. He has over 101.2 million followers on X (formerly twitter). This sets him apart from other Indian Political leaders, like Rahul Gandhi, Arvindra Kejriwal, with 26.7 and 27.6 million, respectively.
Stree 2 Release in Theatres
Shraddha Kapoor ‘s ‘Stree 2’ was released on Independence Day along with two major releases – ‘Vedaa’ and ‘Khel Khel Mein’. At first, it was suspected that the collective release might affect each other’s office collection and vie for public attention. However, Stree 2 took the spotlight and shined on the box office after making impressive pre-sales of over 1.03 lakhs.
The Film is directed by Amar Kaushik, and stars Rajkumar Rao alongside Shraddha Kapoor. The other characters in the film are Pankaj Tripathi, Abhishek Banerjee and Apar Shakti Khurana. The Stree 2 also features a special cameo by actor Varun Dhawan. It is a sequel of 2018’s horror and comedy film, Stree.
