    Sunny Deol All Set to Return in ‘Border 2’: A Comeback to India’s Biggest War Film

    After a long wait of 27 years, Sunny Deol is all set to recreate the magic of reprising his role from JP Dutta’s 1997 indefensible blockbuster war drama, ‘Border’. The announcement of news of making of ‘Border 2’ has sent waves of excitement through the fans of the original movie. The movie promises a grand tribute to Indian patriotism and valor. 

    ‘Border 2’ Announcement Details 

    In an emotional declaration, Sunny Deol took to his official Instagram account to post a video full of nostalgia and eagerness.

    In the video, one could hear Sunny’s voiceover saying, “27 Saal Pehle ek Fauji ne vada Kiya Tha ki Vo Vapas Aayega,” which roughly translates to, “27 years ago, a soldier made a promise that he would return.”

    Further, in the same declaration, the name of the director was confirmed to be Anurag Singh, known for his previous movies ‘Kesari’ and ‘Punjab 1984’ past directories, which are extremely impactful. 

    ‘Border 2’ Production Team and Vision 

    ‘Bhushan Kumar, Krishan Kumar, JP Dutta and Nidhi Dutta’ are all set to produce ‘Border 2’, keeping the vision of making it another epic film.

    The sequel is aiming to go ahead with the legacy of one of India’s biggest war films. It promises to capture the feeling of bravery and sacrifice on the battlefield.  

    Celebs and Fans Reaction 

    The announcement of the sequel sparked enthusiastic reactions from celebrities and fans alike. Designer Manish Malhotra quickly responded with teary-eyed emoticons, while Suniel Shetty and Esha Deol responded to the announcement with heartfelt emojis.

    Social media was ablaze as fans flooded social media with comments and started writing, “Can’t wait!” and “My childhood is back!”, depicting their emotional connection to the first film and the anticipation for its sequel. 

    Previous Challenges and Anticipation 

    Deol had earlier revealed on The Ranveer Show that initial attempts for the making of ‘Border 2’ were stalled in 2015 due to the apprehensions arising out of a box office failure.

    However, now with renewed determination and support from the fans, the film is all set to fulfil its promise to pay honor to the spirit of the Bravehearts of India. 

    ‘Border 2′ is preparing for a big-screen release with the expectation of a sequel to the film that is more than just entertainment but a heartwarming tale of India’s history and the unconquerable spirit of the Indian soldiers.
