For years, Diljit Dosanjh has been relentlessly pursuing global success and owning the hearts of millions. With a historic presence at Coachella and a remarkable performance on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon, the Punjabi singer-actor has made waves globally. His Punjabi rom-com Jatt & Juliet also ruled the North America box office. Now, he has Canada on his sights.

Dosanjh marked a historic moment as the first Punjabi artist to sell out at Toronto’s Rogers Centre. On his Instagram stories, he shared the glimpses of his energetic performance, featuring popular tracks like “Born to Shine,” to the roaring applause of the crowd.  

He also posted a video of himself meeting Canadian Prime Minister, Justin Trudeau. Diljit was spotted, wearing a yellow striped shirt and a red turban, and was visibly cheerful as the duo shared a warm hug and exchanged greetings, meeting alongside his crew and team. Trudeau also cheered the singer’s signature line, “Punjabi aa gaye oye” meaning Punjabi is here.
