    Dhruvi Patel Crowned Miss India Worldwide 2024

    Dhruvi Patel, a 24-year-old computer information student, wins Miss India Worldwide 2024. Miss India Worldwide is a prestigious beauty pageant that showcases contestants from India and the Indian diaspora around the globe. Established in 1990 by the India Festival Committee (IFC) in New York City, the pageant aims to celebrate the cultural heritage and achievements of Indian women living outside of India.

    She was also crowned Miss India New England in 2023. Dhruvi’s success in both academics and beauty pageants showcases her versatility and determination.

    Dhruvi’s family moved to the US from India, when she was a child. She is of Gujarati descent and resides with her siblings and parents in Hamden, Connecticut. She is a student at Quinnipiac University, pursuing a degree in computer information systems. She has always been proud of her Indian heritage.

    Being a computer information student wasn’t an easy feat for Dhruvi, but her determination and hard work paid off when she was crowned Miss India Worldwide 2024, the longest-running Indian pageant outside of India.

    Fond of acting and freestyle dancing, she aspires to be a Bollywood actor and a UNICEF Ambassador, presently, she is an Instagram influencer with over 18.6K followers on the social media platform. She is even inclined to be in sports along with being a gymnast. Being of Gujarati descent, she is also proficient in the Gujarati language along with English, Hindi.

    Dhruvi was crowned Miss India Worldwide 2024 in Edison, New Jersey; whereas Lisa Abdoelhak from Suriname secured the first runner-up position. Malvika Sharma represented the Netherlands and claimed the title of second runner-up. In the Mrs. section, SuAnn Mouttet of Trinidad and Tobago emerged as the champion, with Sneha Nambiar taking the first runner-up spot and Pawandip Kaur from the United Kingdom finishing as the second runner-up.

    In the Teen category, Sierra Suret from Guadeloupe got the title of Miss Teen India Worldwide; Shreya Singh, from the Netherlands, and Shradha Tedjoe, hailing from Suriname, were announced as the first and second runners-up, respectively.

    As per sources, Dhruvi operates a non-profit organisation called ‘3DCharities’ from her home. She volunteers at a nearby senior centre and participates in food drives and fundraising efforts for various social causes. She regularly contributes to charities such as UNICEF and Feeding America through ongoing donations.

    The inaugural event of ‘Miss India Worldwide’ took place in New York City, where Simi Chaddha was crowned the first Miss India Worldwide. The pageant was held in the United States until 1996, after which it began to be hosted in various countries, including India and Singapore. The most recent edition, Miss India Worldwide 2024, was held on September 20, 2024, in Edison, New Jersey. The beauty pageant is organized by the New York-based India Festival Committee.
