Dosanjh adds, “It’s a great tagline –of Kolkata Knight Riders. I loved it, and especially since it’s Shah Rukh Khan Sir’s team, I ought to like it, because I am a fan. It’s also a very good mantra [saying] that you work hard, fight, and whether or not you win is for later–our duty is to give our 100%. So, if you work that hard, success has no other option [but to be yours]. So, it’s a great slogan, ‘Korbo. Lorbo. Jeetbo’.”

Di-Luminati is not an actual word, you would not find it in any English dictionary. It is a concoction of two names – Diljit and Illuminati. The singer took “Dil” from his name and “luminati” from ‘Illuminati’ to create the alliterative name of his musical tour.
From social media to news portals, one name that is ringing everywhere is – Diljit Dosanjh and his ‘Dil-Luminati’ tour! From packed stadiums, and stellar performances to tickets that are being sold as hotcakes, everything about this year’s Diljit Dosanjh musical tour is making headlines.
Diljit and Illuminati
Diljit, for a couple of years, had been associated with the cult ‘Illuminati.’ It started when the singer-actor posted a picture of him making a triangle with his hand and posing in a manner that looks like the symbol of the Illuminati. In popular culture, Illuminati is a secret society of devil worshipers, where one sells his soul to “Satan (Evil-Supremo)” to gain money and fame.
Though Diljit on many occasions took to his social media and even spoke during his live concerts that he has nothing to do with Illuminati, the reports were not going to rest. During one of his concerts in Sydney, he openly addressed the matter and said, “This is the crown chakra, not Illuminati. After 2020, I’m above all this, found peace in the crown chakra.”
Later, he went on to turn the rumors into an opportunity and named his tour ‘Dil-Luminati.’ He took to the stage and said when somebody tries to pull you down you don’t stand down. He added that if a Punjabi is told he can’t do a particular thing, he does everything to prove otherwise.
Coming back to Shah Rukh Khan, he will be next seen in “King”. Fans have been waiting with bated breath for updates about this upcoming project. “King” will explore the story of a complex don who turns to be a mentor to a girl. Shah Rukh will play the role of a don while Suhana Khan will be seen as his mentee.
The report mentioned that Abhishek will be seen in a negative role. ‘King’ is directed by Sujoy Ghosh, with Suhana Khan and Abhishek Bachchan as the antagonist. Set for a mid-2026 release, this action drama showcases SRK mentoring Suhana in a dangerous criminal world, with intense, physically demanding sequences.
Shahrukh Khan’s backing has helped Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) notch up three IPL titles, becoming the third-most successful franchise in the league. More often than not, SRK is also spotted in the stands, cheering for his team, when the players get into action during the course of the season. Over the years, Bollywood icon Shah Rukh Khan has become one of the biggest pillars behind the success of the Indian Premier League. He cheers up his team, when the players get into action during the course of the season. Shah Rukh’s backing of players like Rinku Singh has also been hailed by many. However, it has been claimed by former IPL Commissioner Lalit Modi that KKR wasn’t his first-choice franchise to buy.
Shah Rukh has been using his own presence across the globe to help the T20 cricketing spectacle grow. Sharing an interesting tale, Lalit Modi revealed how he first reached out to SRK to invest in IPL.
“Bollywood and cricket sell in the country. I have always been a part of the glamor. Shah Rukh Khan went to school with me; we are school friends. When I approached him for cricket, I didn’t know much about it myself, but I told him, ‘I just want you to be a part of it.’ He was the number one pillar for the IPL,” Lalit Modi was quoted as saying by Filmfare.
SRK had no idea about cricket, yet he bid for a team. However, his first-choice wasn’t KKR but Mumbai Indians, the franchise that eventually went to the Ambanis. Shah Rukh Khan bid for a team, even though he didn’t know anything about cricket. “His first choice was Mumbai, but Mukesh Ambani took that. Kolkata was his eventual pick.
Shah Rukh Khan’s real contribution was in making cricket entertaining. He brought women and children into the stadiums, which was critical for IPL’s success. That’s why we had music, cheerleaders, and a festival-like atmosphere that turned it into an event for everyone,” said Lalit Modi. He also revealed that many other Bollywood celebrities wanted to be a part of IPL after seeing Shah Rukh invest into a franchise.
“In year one, we had to beg or pay celebrities to come. By year two, they came on their own. After seeing Shah Rukh, everyone wanted in – Deepika Padukone, Akshay Kumar, you name it. Shah Rukh’s presence turned the IPL into more than just cricket; it became a cultural movement,” he added.
