According to recent updates, under the MAMATA scheme, the Goa government will provide financial support of INR 25,000 to mothers giving birth to a girl child. Women regardless of their social or economic status can avail this one-time incentive benefit.
Under this scheme, the mother will get INR 25,000 (one-time). The amount will be provided in 5 installments of 5000. Each installment will be paid at different stages, as long as the necessary documents are submitted.
The purpose of each installment is to provide the financial assistance tomother after the completion of key milestones, like child’s vaccination, education, and others. The initiative of MAMATA scheme by the government is an important step to tackle challenges like gender inequality. This financial support will help mothers to raise their daughters with dignity.
