In 2008, Pakistan players also played in IPL , but after 2008s Mumbai attack, the political tension grew between two countries.
Due to this continuous political tensions, bilateral cricket series between India and Pakistan are rare. Most of their encounters now take place in major ICC tournaments like the Cricket World Cup, the T20 World Cup, and the Asia Cup.
