Ice cream is commonly enjoyed as a dessert, yet a debate arises regarding its classification as a snack. This question lacks a clear answer. Many individuals consider it as a snack because it is often eaten between meals, serving as a quick fix for hunger or cravings. Its convenient packaging and extensive variety of flavors cater to diverse preferences, makes it an easy option for on-the-go consumption.

On the other hand, some content that ice cream fits better within the dessert category. Desserts are generally enjoyed after meals to fulfill a craving for sweetness. While snacks are meant to bridge the gap until the next meal with the rich ingredients—cream, sugar, and flavorings, some believe it is more aligned with being a dessert than a snack.
