Pakistani Intruder Neutralized on the Indo-Pak border by BSF

Upon observing suspicious activity at the international border in Tashpatan, Pathankot, an intruder was warned multiple times and subsequently neutralized by the BSF after repeated attempts to intrude.

BSF says

A spokesperson from the BSF reported that, during the pre-dawn hours, their troops observed suspicious movement across the International Border in BOP Tashpatan, located in the Pathankot border area. An intruder was seen crossing the border; when challenged by the vigilant troops, he did not respond and continued to move forward. Sensing a potential threat, the BSF troops neutralized the intruder.

The spokesperson noted that the identity and motives of the intruder remained unclear, and he mentioned that a strong protest would be lodged with the Pakistan Rangers.

Recent attempted attacks

On February 11, in an Improvised Explosive Device (IED) attack, twoarmypersonnel of India, one of whom was a captain, were killed. The suspicion of the attack was on the Akhnoor regions terrorists of Jammu.

In another series of attacks on February 10 and 14, two of the army personnel were injured in separate instances of firing, one in Rajouri and another one in Poonch, in the past week, two more army personnel were injured in land mine explosions.

The Flag meeting

A flag meeting of the brigade commander level was held last week between India andPakistanalong the line of control, LOC, in Chakkan da Bagh, Poonch regarding the IED attacks and Firings, says PTI. The need to maintain peace between two countries was the highlight of the meeting.
