Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas, Hollywood’s power couple is all over social media and hitting headlines. Priyanka Chopra Jonas is proving to be the ultimate supportive partner as Nick Jonas’ highly anticipated revival of The Last Five Years.

The proud wife took to social media to show support to her husband. “So proud of you @nickjonas,” she wrote in one post, over a black-and-white photo of the stage of the Hudson Theatre in New York City, where The Last Five Years is now in previews. 

Whitney White will direct this musical, written by Jason Robert Brown. The Last Five Years was first staged at the Northlight Theatre in Illinois in 2001, starring Norbert Leo Butz and Lauren Kennedy. It then had an Off-Broadway run at the Minetta Lane Theatre in 2002.The Broadway production, opening on April 6, is currently set to play for a limited, 14-week run through June 22.

The Last Five Years

“The Last Five Years,” composed by Jason Robert Brown, is a unique two-person musical chronicling a uproarious marriage. Jamie, a rising novelist, narrates his story chronologically, while Cathy, an aspiring actress, tells hers in reverse.

Their timelines intersect only once, at their wedding, highlighting the fleeting nature of shared happiness. The musical explores themes of ambition, infidelity, and the inevitable divergence of two people on separate life paths, all through Brown’s signature complex melodies and emotionally charged lyrics.

Nick Jonas is not new to Broadway. Besides his musical projects with the Jonas Brothers, he has also appeared in several Broadway productions in the past. He replaced Daniel Radcliffe in ‘How to Succeed in Business Without Really Trying in 2012’.
