    Allegations Against Luigi Mangione

    • Luigi is charged with second-degree murder, three weapons possession, and one forgery case in Manhattan state court.
    • Jessica Tisch, Police Commissioner, New York claimed during a press conference that shell casing discovered at the scene of Thompson’s death matches the gun found from Luigi. Tisch further added that the lab results matched Luigi’s fingerprints to those discovered on a protein bar wrapper and a water bottle found on the crime scene.

    Luigi’s Manifesto

    After being held in the custody, the investigators found a three-page handwritten document, which they described it as a ‘manifesto’. The manifesto outlined a plan to “wack the CEO at the annual parasitic bean-counter convention” through a “targeted, precise” attack. According to the investigators, this document gives glimpse behind the mindset of ‘targeted killing.’

    Luigi’s arrest captured a massive attention of netizens across the social media platforms. Many are supporting Luigi’s act and even started a trend of #FreeLuigi Movement. Luigi’s wave is so vast that he earned 21.5k new followers on his social media handle, @luigi.from.fiji. Social media is giving mixed reactions to him. Some portray him as an anti-establishment figure, and some highlighted his appearance over his crime. Some of the Luigi’s supporters have called for financial assistance.
