The Golan Community is known as Trump
Let us tell you that Israel has control over this area under the agreements between Israel and Palestine. Now this area, known as Trump, is present inside the border of Ma’ale Adumim This is a very important area, where the Biden administration stopped the plan to build more than 3,000 houses after international opposition. A Golan community in Israel was also named after President Trump. He was given this honor in 2019 for recognizing Israel’s sovereignty over the Golan Heights.
Why is Trump Popular?
It is worth noting that the recent ceasefire between Hamas and Israel in Gaza has been largely credited to Trump. During his first term, Donald Trump had taken many such decisions which could benefit Israel. He stopped funding UNRWA, the agency that helps Palestinians. Trump also imposed sanctions on officials of the International Criminal Court.
Israel and Hamas reached a ceasefire deal this month after 15 months of war that has left thousands of dead, displaced Palestinians in the Gaza Strip and uncertain about the future of those held hostage by Hamas. Israel has confirmed that eight of the 33 hostages held by Hamas have died, sparking fresh grief for the families of those still being held. This devastating news comes as Naama Levy, one of the first hostages to be released under the current ceasefire, shared her harrowing experience of being held captive for 50 days.
Levy, 20, took to social media to describe how she spent most of her time in solitude before being reunited with fellow soldiers and civilian captives. She expressed her gratitude for the support they gave each other, saying, “We strengthened each other until the day of our release, and also afterwards.”
Despite the challenges, a surge in humanitarian aid into Gaza has continued under the ceasefire, with approximately 4,200 trucks carrying aid entering the Gaza Strip in just one week. Israel’s Deputy Foreign Minister Sharren Haskel noted that 600 trucks of aid are meant to enter per day under the deal.
The ceasefire, facilitated by Qatar, aims to bring an end to the deadliest and most destructive war between Israel and Hamas. The conflict has resulted in the deaths of over 1,200 people, mostly civilians, and the abduction of 250 others. Israel’s response has killed over 47,000 Palestinians, with Israel claiming to have killed over 17,000 militants
