Pakistan has ended its 28-year long wait with the humiliation of World Champions Australia in 2nd ODI played on their home ground in Adelaide. saim Ayub remained the star of the match for Pakistan, as he scored a career-best 82 off 71 balls. It included six-sixes and five fours.
As such, Pakistan Cricketers have created history by inflicting a defeat on Australia at the Adelaide Oval for the first time in 28 years. The 1992 World Champions have won their first ODI against the Kangaroos at the venue since 1996.

Needing merely 164 to win, Pakistan openers (Saim Ayub and Abdullah Shafique) took a cautious approach. Both of them have not been scoring well whenever paired together lately.

Pakistan pacer Haris Rauf grabbed his second-ever five-wicket haul in ODI’s, as Pat Cummins’ Australians were bundled out for merely 163 runs in the 2nd ODI at the Adelaide Oval.
Electing to bowl first on a batting surface, Mohammad Rizwan’s side lived up to the billing, as the bowlers bowled extremely well in demolition of Australia’s batting order, which was once, storming at 20/0 after just 2 overs.
Haris Rauf ended the innings with 5/29 in his 8 overs, as apart from Steve Smith, no other Australian batter managed to touch the 20-run mark.

Australia’s talisman wrist-spinner Adam Zampa produced a moment of sheer genius as he confused and befooled Pakistan captain Mohammad Rizwan in taking a bizarre review, which, expectedly, was wasted as the Australian was clearly ‘Not Out’.
The incident happened during the 34th over of the 1st innings, when Australians were reeling at 153/9. Naseem Shah bowled a brilliant bouncer, which deceived Adam Zampa and the ball was gathered behind the stumps by Mohammad Rizwan who shouted and made an appeal for a caught-behind. To this, Adam Zampa had a hilarious reaction, and was caught on stumps mic saying “You blokes appeal for everything”.
Mohammad Rizwan hilariously made an attempt to outsmart the Aussie by saying “Can I take it now?”, and Adam Zampa gladly replied with “Oh yeah, you should take it”. Upon taking the review, the snick clearly revealed that there was no edge and Adam Zampa successfully made a fool out of Rizwan in what was a respectful and funny banter and exchange of words between the duo.Reflecting about historic win, Rizwan applauded his side’s efforts and stated that everyone played ‘according to the plan’.
