Vishvaa Rajkumar, a 20-year-old from Puducherry, India, has achieved an extraordinary feat in the world of memory sports. Competing in the Memory League World Championship, he memorized 80 random numbers in just 13.5 seconds, setting a new benchmark in the field of memory games. His exceptional performance has earned him the first position on the Memory League website with an impressive score of 5000 points.

Currently a student at Manakula Vinayagar College, Vishvaa’s achievement has turned heads worldwide. His ability to recall numbers at an astonishing speed demonstrates not only his talent but also the rigorous training and techniques he has developed over time.

Understanding the Memory League World Championship

The Memory League World Championship is a highly competitive event where participants from across the globe challenge each other in memory-based tasks. One of the key challenges involves memorizing 80 random numbers as quickly as possible and recalling them with complete accuracy. The game demands intense concentration, mental agility, and a well-trained memory. Players must develop unique strategies to enhance their recall speed, making Vishvaa’s achievement even more commendable.

Techniques Vishvaa Used to Win the Game

In a recent interview, Vishvaa Rajkumar shared some of the techniques he employed to sharpen his memory skills and secure his win. Some of his key strategies include:

• Staying Hydrated: Vishvaa emphasized the importance of staying hydrated, stating that dehydration can slow down cognitive functions. He believes that drinking enough water keeps the brain active and enhances memory recall speed.
• Reading Aloud for Better Retention:  He explained that instead of silently reading the numbers, he slightly vocalized them. This technique helps reinforce memory by engaging both visual and auditory senses, making it easier to retain information.
• Using the Memory Palace Technique: One of the most effective techniques he used is the Memory Palace method. He associated numbers with familiar locations in his house, such as his room, kitchen, hall, and bathroom. By placing each number in a specific location, he could recall them in sequence effortlessly.
• Creating Stories to Link Numbers: To enhance retention, he paired numbers together and created short, imaginative stories. Each story was then mentally placed in a different part of his Memory Palace. This method helped him structure the numbers in a meaningful way, making recall easier and faster.

Vishvaas Experience at the Championship

Describing his experience at the Memory League World Championship, Vishvaa revealed that the competition was intense. Contestants were presented with 80 random numbers displayed on a screen, and they had to memorize them as quickly as possible before clicking a button to access the recall sheet.

During his fastest attempt, Vishvaa managed to recall all 80 numbers correctly in just 13.5 seconds, achieving an extraordinary speed of nearly six digits per second. His flawless performance placed him at the top of the leaderboard and earned him this international recognition.
