    90-ft Tall Hanuman Statue unveiled in Houston

    On August 18, Pran Pratishtha ceremony was performed for a 90-feet Lord Hanuman statue in Houston, Texas, in the U.S. The statue ranks as the third tallest in the United States. Lord Hanuman’s role in reuniting Sri Rama and Sita led to the naming of the statue as the Statue of Union.

    Sri Chinnajeeyar Swamiji is the visionary of this monumental project. He observed that this is not a single-point project; the idea is a revelation of a rich spiritual intent. The unveiling of statue of Hanuman testifies to the new landmark of monumental statues in America. It will attract attention of people around the world, giving evidence of the cultural value of Indian tradition in a foreign country.  

    The official website of ‘The Statue of Union’ stated that the “The statue is the tallest of Lord Hanuman in North America. The statue symbolize strength, devotion and the spirit of serving without the self-serving motive to signify the spirit of unity. It is named Statue of Union because of the important part played by Hanuman in re-uniting Sri Rama with Sita.”  
     
    In addition, they said, “This monumental project offers our community a chance to set a spiritual landmark for future generations, inviting them to seek the blessings of Lord Hanuman.” 
     
    “The Lord Panchaloha Abhaya Hanuman statue is 89. 7 feet tall installed at the Sri Ashtalakshmi Temple, Sugar Land, Texas. It depicts hope and strength. The Statue of Union aims to create a spiritual sanctuary. So, individuals can find solace, peace, and a path to transcendence.”
