    Nayab Singh Saini takes Oath as Haryana’s Chief Minister for the Second Time

    OBC leader Nayab Singh Saini has been sworn in as the Chief Minister for Haryana for the second time on Thursday, October 17, 2024. The oath-taking ceremony took place in Panchkula. It was attended by several leaders of National Democratic Alliance (NDA) including Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP President J P Nadda, Union Ministers Rajnath Singh and Amit Shah.

    This event took place on the auspicious day of Valmiki Jayanti. It is a special day to honor Maharishi Valmiki, who was a revered sage and author of the epic Ramayana. The day commemorates Valmiki’s birth anniversary. It holds a special significance for the Dalit Community.

    Before the ceremony, Nayab Saini also visited the Valmiki Bhawan and offered prayers at gurudwara and the Mansa Devi Temple in Panchkula. He addressed the media reporters and said that the new BJP government will implement the BJP’s Sankalp Patra and work for the development of Haryana at a significant pace.

    Notably, along with Saini, several other Ministers also took oath as the new cabinet Ministers in the BJP Government.

    Following the Ceremony, Nayab Singh took to his X handle and extended his gratitude to PM Modi.

    About Nayab Singh Saini

    Nayab Singh Saini has also secured victory from Ladwa constituency of Kurukshetra state assembly elections in October 2024. He defeated the congress candidate Mewa Singh by marginal 16054 votes. This victory played a instrumental role in BJP’s third consecutive victory in the state. BJP secured victory with 48 seats out of 90-member assembly.

    Earlier, Saini has also served as the Member of Parliament from Kurukshetra, Haryana from 2019 to 2024. He has also served as the member of state in Haryana Government from 2015 to 2019.

    Hails from Mirzapur Majra, Haryana, Saini belongs to a Haryanvi Mali Family and is classified under the Other Backward Classes in Haryana. He has background in Law and has also attained a degree in the course from the BR Ambedkar University and Choudhary Charan Singh University.

    When Nayab Singh Saini Sworn in as CM for First Time in March 2024

    Prior to BJP’s victory, Earlier in March 2024, Nayab Singh was appointed as the Chief Minister of Haryana, succeeding Manohar Lal Khattar. The decision came out as a part of Bhartiya Janta Party’s strategy to address Anti-incumbency sentiments and rejuvenate its leadership in the state. BJP ended its coalition with the Jannayak Janta Party (JJP) and appointed Nayab Singh Saini as a prominent leader from OBC community.

    This decision was taken as a part internal party dynamic and need to gain support from various social groups in Haryana.
