Rising Cases of Road Accidents in India

The rising cases of road accidents in India are indeed a significant concern. According to the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways, there were 461,312 road accidents in 2022, resulting in 1,68,491 fatalities and 4,43,366 injuries. This marks an 11.95% increase in accidents, 9.4% increase in fatalities, and 15.3% increase in injuries compared to the previous year. However, there are several factors that are contributing to this alarming trend, including speeding, reckless driving, and non-compliance with traffic regulations.
