Recently, a devasting stampede happened during a Hindu religion gathering in Uttar Pradesh resulting in the brutal death of approximately 121 people, with most of the victim being women and children. This tragic incident is considered as the most devastating stampedes in recent years.
According to the authorities, approximately 250,000 people, almost thrice the permissible capacity had gathered in a village in Hathras District which is around 200 km southeast of New Delhi.
