UAE Princess, Shaikha Mahra, the daughter of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, UAE Vice president and the Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates and the Ruler of Dubai, she openly announced her divorce from husband, Sheikh Mana Bin Mohammed via her official Instagram post recently.

Notably, Mahra announced this news, just a few months after the couple was blessed with their firstborn child in May 2024.  

In her post shared on July 16, Sheikha Mahra wrote, “Dear Husband, As You are occupied with other companions. I hereby declare our divorce. I divorce you; I divorce you and I divorce you”. Take Care, Your Ex-wife. Soon, the post reached a wider audience over the internet. It has brought several questions to the table, doubting the true foundation of the relationships in today’s era.

The post crossed around 1,10, 381 reactions on Instagram. Several netizens on social media were also seen presenting mixed reactions. While many of the users observed that the couple unfollowed each other on Instagram and removed all their photographs from their respective accounts. 

 Some users even questioned whether Mahra’s Instagram got hacked and speculated that the couple might have blocked each other.  

However, Despite the ongoing reactions from the public, many fans also supported Mahra’s decision and called her brave for making a step out of self-respect and willpower. “I find it empowering when a woman recognizes her self-worth and confidently stands firm to her ground,” a user reacted.

A few weeks ago, the UAE princess also posted a beautiful picture of her little one, embracing her motherhood. She added a caption mentioning, “Just two of us”. The post also raised many questions about the couple’s issues and even speculated about their split.  

Sheikh Mana and Sheikha Mahra

Sheikh Mana and Sheikha Mahra belong to the Royal families of Dubai. Both announced their engagement via their social media handles last year, on March 22, 2023. The couple then tied the knot on May 28, 2023, during the Katb-Al-Kitab ceremony. It was a contractual marriage.  

The couple also had a lavish wedding reception in Dubai in June 2023. Sheikha Mahra is known for her philanthropic efforts towards society and is also connected with several charitable organizations. While Sheikh Mana is a well-known entrepreneur, tech investor and is known for his investments in emerging technology and sustainable startups globally. He is also involved in various activities like travel, sports etc.  

Reportedly, the reason behind their separation news is not confirmed yet and seemed to be a sort of personal issue.
