90s-Superstar Govinda and his Wife Sunita are Parting Ways after 37 Years of Marital bliss?

90s superstar Govinda and his wife, Sunita Ahuja, are parting ways after living separately for some time. In recent years, the Bollywood couple, who kept their lives private for 37 years, began making joint public appearances and engaging with the media through entertainment shows.

According to a viral post by ZoomTV on Instagram, Sunita and Govinda are nearing the end of their marriage and in the process of settling for a divorce. This separation may result from an alleged affair between Govinda and a Marathi actress in her 30s. Thereโ€™s no official statement from the โ€™90s couple, another reason stated the difference in lifestyle choices that led to frequent clashes between the two.

Living Separately

Sunita Ahuja has been seen on many podcasts and interviews in recent months, while Govinda remains absent. In Sunitaโ€™s interview with Pinkvilla Hindi Rush she revealed the coupleโ€™s living situation by saying, โ€œWe have two houses, we have a bungalow opposite our apartment. I have my temple and my kids in the flat. We live in the flat whereas he gets late after his meetings. He loves talking so heโ€™ll gather 10 people and sit chatting with them. Whereas me, my son and my daughter live together, but we hardly talk because I feel if you end up wasting your energy by talking too much.โ€

Dismissal from Secretary

A news portal talked to Govindaโ€™s secretary, Shahi Sinha who dismissed the divorce rumors by saying, โ€œThere is no truth to these reports. I always stay with Govinda Ji, and there is nothing like this. Sunita must have given some interviews, and someone must have exaggerated her words, which is why such news is spreading.โ€

Times Entertainment reached out to Govinda; however, he only discussed the business and mentioned that he is in the process of starting his films, without addressing any rumors of his divorce from Sunita.

Sunitaโ€™s Remarks

Remarks by Sunita such as, โ€œI have told him that in my next life, he shouldnโ€™t be my husband. He doesnโ€™t go on holiday. I am a person who wants to go out with her husband and eat pani-puri on the streets. He spends too much time working. I donโ€™t recall a single instance when we both went out to watch a movie,โ€ highlighting the coupleโ€™s contrasting life choices, another reason suggested to contribute to their issues.

After the statement, internet attention turned to Sunita, who went back to reaffirm their relationship status, dismissing any suspicion regarding their separation in an interview by saying, โ€œKisi ki majaal hai joh mujhe Govinda se alag karke dikhaaye Nobody can separate us. I have a lot of fun with him. There are people who want to break homes more than outsiders. I wonโ€™t let anyone break homes. I will win because Baba is with me.โ€ (In an interview with Shirdi Today)

Sunita has also revealed in several interviews that she was a secure wife back in the 90s; she feels more insecure now that Govinda is in his 60s, she said laughing, โ€œSaanth ke baad aadmi sathiyaa jaata hai. Pataa nahi kya kardeโ€

In the same interview with Hindi Rush, Sunita revealed the circumstances surrounding the coupleโ€™s separation, She mentioned that she initiated their relationship because Govinda was too afraid to even touch a woman at that time, โ€œNow, I donโ€™t know if he has become like that. You never know what people do behind your back. Never trust a man. People change colors like a chameleon. Itโ€™s been 37 years since we got married. Where would he go? Earlier he never went anywhere, now I donโ€™t knowโ€ฆโ€ she added.

Despite a lot of speculation, neither the Ahuja family nor Govinda and Sunita have confirmed their divorce.
