From various reliable agencies’ inputs, Bollywood actor Saif Ali Khan was injured after an intruder entered his and Kareena Kapoor’s home in Mumbai’s Bandra. The actor underwent emergency surgeries.
Saf was injured after a robber barged into his residence at Bandra (west) and allegedly stabbed him. The incident occurred around 2:30 am on Thursday night when the actor was sleeping in his house along with his other family members.
It is being said that Saif Ali Khan tried to protect his house help when she as attacked with a knife. The police said the robber fled from the scene after occupants of the house woke up.
Police are trying to trace the intruder. The Bandra police has formed several police teams to nab the culprit.
Presently, 10 stitches are made in stab wound, and it is being said that actor is ‘lucky’ as all his organs are safe.
A senior IPS officer confirmed the incident and said, “Saif Ali Khan has been admitted to the Lilavati hospital, where he is undergoing treatment. It is not clear yet, if he is stabbed or injured in the scuffle with the robber. We have been investigating the matter. Lilavati Hospital sources said that one injury was deep and has received 10 stitches for this stab, but it did not affect his spine. “He was very lucky that the stabs have not affected any vital organs. It appears to have been attacked by knife and he was thwarting off a robbery attempt. Two injuries are deep, two are mid and two are superficial.” The actor’s family is with him at the hospital. Kareena and Saif, who have been married since 2012, live in the Satguru Sharan building in Mumbai’s Bandra West. The couple’s two sons – Taimur (8) and Jeh (4) – also live with them.

Son Ibrahim Ali Khan rushed Saif Ali Khan to hospital at 3 am. Ibrahim Ali Khan, and a house help were the ones who rushed him to the hospital after the actor suffered injuries during a burglary attempt at his house. Saif was brought to the Lilavati Hospital at around 3.30 am by Ibrahim and a member of Saif’s household staff.

Saif Ali Khan was injured in a break-in attempt at his and Kareena Kapoor’s house at 2:30 am, police sources confirmed to HT. Saif’s son from his first marriage to Amrita Singh, does not live with them. The 23-yearold rushed to Saif and Kareena’s place upon hearing of the break-in and then took his father to the hospital, Dr Niraj Uttamani, COO of Lilavati Hospital, said.
What happened at Saif’s house: On Thursday morning, Saif Ali Khan’s team shared an official statement about his injury and what went down at his house in the early hours of morning. “There was an attempted burglary at Mr Saif Ali Khan’s residence. He is currently in hospital undergoing a surgery. We request the media and fans to be patient. It is police matter, we will keep you updated on the situation,” the statement read.
Doctor Niraj said, “Saif has six injuries, two of which are deeper. One of the injuries is closer to his spine.” The doctor added that there is one injury on the neck, and that is also being evaluated”.
“We are operating on him. He is being operated upon by Neurosurgeon Nitin Dange, cosmetic surgeon Leena Jain, and anesthetist Nisha Gandhi. We will tell the extent of the damage only after the surgery is done.” He said that the surgery started at 5.30 am. A doctor at Leelavati Hospital, who sought anonymity, told that the doctors found a piece of knife in the body and the doctors are still examining the extent of damage. However, the actor is able to move his limbs, which shows that the spine is ok.
