Humanity on Low: Burning Man Pleads for Help, People Shot Videos Instead of Helping

    Read Later

In a horrific gas tanker explosion in Jaipur, Rajasthan, a 32-year-old man, named Radheshyam Choudhary, became a victim after being engulfed in flames on Friday morning. The Burning man stumbled around 600 meters, crying for help to the local bystanders, who just filmed the incident rather than offering aid.

The incident took place at the Jaipur-Ajmer Highway earlier on Friday, December 20, 2024. Radheshyam, a motor mechanic, left his home near Ring Road on his motorbike, unaware of the fact that he is never coming back.

About the Jaipur Gas Tanker Explosion

The incident occurred when an LPG tanker collided with a truck near a petrol pump, leaving more than 10 people dead and others critically injured. The reports said that it was a CNG truck that crashed into multiple vehicles, causing a huge fire explosion on the highway.

The officials reported that the fire quickly spread to the fuel pump in the Bhankrota area of the city. By mid-morning, the videos of the incident, videos of the explosion, began circulating over the internet, showing a burning man struggling to stay on his feet, who walked around 600 meters, urging help from the local bystanders. However, the people just filmed the incident, instead offering him an aid.

Radheshyam’s elder brother, Akheram, recalled being woken up at 5:50 am by a stranger calling him. The stranger said, “Come to Heerapura Bus Terminal immediately. Your brother is in trouble.”

    About the Incident

Akheram rushed to the spot immediately with two neighbors. On reaching the scene, what he saw would haunt him forever. “My brother was lying on the road. People told me he walked nearly 600 meters from the explosion site, they said he was crying for help, but instead of helping bystanders just made videos.”

Realizing it would be futile to expect an ambulance to arrive amid the chaos, Akheram and his two neighbors put Radheshyam in his car immediately and took him to SMS Hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries.

“He was conscious, talking coherently all the way to the hospital. He told us exactly what happened. Akheram mentioned that his brother told him about giving his number to the stranger, who called me, reporting about the incident.

It was unbelievable how he managed to recall my number despite experiencing such intense pain. Watching him in the burnt state, yet speaking so clearly, was unbearable, he added.

This is to be noted that Radheshyam jumped off his bike and ran in the opposite direction and ran to the opposite side, but the flames caught him. Despite his burns, he walked until he finally found someone to call his brother.
