An illustration by a four-year-old girl, whose mother was found dead in Uttar Pradesh‘s Jhansi on Monday, has raised suspicion that the woman was assaulted and murdered by her husband, after years of alleged harassment, the police said.
The incident, which took place at Panchavati Shiv Parivar Colony under Kotwali area of Jhansi, came to light when the 27-year-old woman’s in-laws told her family that she died by suicide. A drawing and a statement of the woman’s daughter, however, suggested that she was killed by her husband, and her body was hanged to make it appear as a suicide.
The husband of the deceased woman had said that she died by suicide. However, the family of the woman’s side did not believe it and asked the daughter who revealed the crucial details. So, the crime was unearthed by the daughter herself. She explained in all innocence and for God’s justice who killed her mother.
Thus, four-year-old child’s drawing led police to the killer of her mother, who was none other than her father. The incident left people shocked.
The deceased, Sonali, had got married to the accused six years ago. Reportedly, the two used to have frequent fights over various issues. On the morning of February 17, the victim’s father received a call that her daughter died by suicide. Her maternal uncle blamed her in-laws for the death while the latter maintained that it was a suicide. However, when the family talked to their 4-year-old daughter, she said, “papa killed mummy’.
Not only this, but the daughter also made a drawing of how her mother was killed. Thereafter, the family filed a complaint, and the police registered a case against the accused husband and took him into custody. Deep investigation is further going on.
