Addressing BJP booth-level workers during the ‘Mera Booth Sabse Majboot’ program, Prime Minister Narendra Modi assigned them with a task to expose AAP by taking pictures of broken drains, garbage heaps and lacking basic amenities and to share them with the location. The hard work and proper functioning of the booth workers are crucial to winning the elections and around 13000 booth workers are going to attend the meeting.

      Will BJP Win This Time?

Ever since the legislative assembly polls were established in Delhi, BJP has come to power only one time and this time the party is trying hard to win the Delhi elections this time. Congress ruled Delhi for the three consecutive terms from 1998 to 2013. From 2013 it was an era of the new party. Aam Aadmi Party won the elections in the year 2013 and has been the ruling government since then. The current CM of Delhi Atishi, who became the CM after the resignation of Arvind Kejriwal, in her recent interview said that she believes that the AAP government didn’t destabilize, as was feared by many. “As far as the (LG’s) obstructionist approach (is concerned), I think that it is likely to get reduced substantially after we win the elections,” Atishi said. “The BJP planned to stop our work, bring the government to a standstill… But it hasn’t succeeded… Despite all of their attempts, we have been able to deliver on the governance front. Yes, there have been some agendas we have not been able to fulfill but, by and large, there is no anti-incumbency against our government.”

Will AAP Join Hands With Congress?

When asked about the AAP and Congress alliance, Atishi said that it would be known only after the assembly election. She believes that Congress is not a team player in Delhi after citing that it lost most of the deposits in the 2020 elections, she further added that the situation might be similar this time also.

      Threats From the Opposition

On Tuesday Atishi wrote a letter to the returning officer stating that her party members were threatened by the BJP Candidate Ramesh Bidhuri’s supporters to which the BJP retaliated by stating that Atishi and the AAP members are doing all this in fear of losing the elections. In the letter, Atishi has accused Bidhuri and also his nephew. She stated that their men threatened the party members to sit at home or else they would break their legs. In response, Delhi BJP spokesperson Praveen Shankar Kapoor said, “AAP leaders, along with several ministers and senior leaders, are sensing defeat. Instead of focusing on contesting the elections together, AAP leaders are preparing to blame their defeat on the BJP and the Election Commission.

      AAP Vs BJP

As the BJP party is in full swing to prepare for the upcoming elections to conquer the state this time, AAP is also gearing up for a tough battle to restrain its power of rule. Yogi Adityanath held a meeting at Maha Kumbh on Wednesday and all the 54 ministers of the state present at the meeting.
