Congress MP Rahul Gandhi has finally executed 100 days as leader of the opposition. In regard to this, Pawan Khera, media in command of the All India Congress Committee, highlighted what Rahul has implemented in these 100 days.
Khera noted that Rahul traveled across the nation, engaging numerous communities. He raised issues of farmers, laborers, loco pilots, and manual scavengers. Rahul became the voice of the voiceless, supporting the underprivileged and marginalized. Additionally, he mentioned that Rahul denounced the subject of Manipur violence in the Parliament.
Rahul Gandhi as Leader of Opposition
In June 2024, the Congress party announced that Rahul Gandhi would take up the role of Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha. The LOP post has been vacant since 2014. During the intervening parliamentary sessions, the party struggled to secure the required 10 percent of seats to claim the post.
The decision to name Gandhi as the leader of the opposition follows the Congress’s triump the 2024 elections, in which the party won 99 seats.

- He opposed the clause in the budget that affected indexation benefits and capital gains tax, successfully forcing the government to rescind.
- He took a firm stand against the Agniveer scheme, advocating for a fair recruitment process in the Army.
- He pitched on the demand for the much-needed caste census forcing several parties of the ruling alliance to join the chorus.
- He stood firm against the Broadcast Bill aimed at stifling independent media voices.
Rahul Pledges to Reinstating Respect to Politics
In a video posted on social media, Rahul reflected on his journey, sharing his experiences as Leader of the Opposition. He stressed that his mission is to “restore the values of love, respect, and humility to the heart of Indian politics.”
He wrote, “It is these principles that guide me as we work together to build a more just, compassionate, and economically prosperous India.”
