CCTV footage of self-styled pastor Bajinder Singh from Punjab has gone viral on social media, showing him physically assaulting his employees. Singh, who is already facing a sexual harassment case, was seen slapping a male employee and later assaulting a woman in the video. The incident, reportedly from February this year, has sparked outrage and renewed scrutiny over the pastor’s past legal troubles.

CCTV Footage of Assault Goes Viral

In the widely circulated video, Singh can be seen slapping a male employee before throwing papers at a woman sitting with a child on her lap. As the woman approaches him, he slaps and pushes her. The situation quickly escalates, with other employees stepping in to prevent Singh from further attacking the woman. Despite their intervention, a heated argument ensues between Singh and the woman.

The footage has fueled public outrage, leading to renewed calls for legal action against the controversial preacher. This latest incident adds to Singh’s already tarnished reputation, as he has faced multiple allegations over the years, including serious criminal charges.

Sexual Harassment Case and Legal Charges

Singh was booked for sexual harassment based on a complaint filed by a 22-year-old woman in Jalandhar on February 28. The complainant stated that she and her parents had been visiting Singh’s church since October 2017. She alleged that the pastor took her phone number and began sending her text messages. Fearing his influence, she refrained from informing her parents about the messages.

According to her complaint, from 2022 onwards, Singh made her sit alone in a church cabin on Sundays. During these moments, he allegedly hugged her and touched her inappropriately. She further claimed that he threatened to have her and her family eliminated if she ever reported his actions.

Following these allegations, Singh has been booked under Sections 354A (sexual harassment), 354D (stalking), and 506 (criminal intimidation) of the Indian Penal Code. A Special Investigation Team led by Superintendent of Police (Phagwara) Rupinder Kaur has been formed to probe the charges. Additionally, the Punjab State Women Commission has taken suo-motu notice of the case and directed the authorities to ensure the complainant’s security. The National Commission for Women has also urged the Punjab Police to take swift action.

    Previous Allegations and Ongoing Investigations

This is not the first time Bajinder Singh has faced legal trouble. In 2018, a woman from Zirakpur accused him of sexual harassment, leading to his arrest at the Delhi airport while attempting to travel to London. More recently, a Mohali court issued warrants against him in the same case.

In 2022, Singh was accused of fraud by a Delhi-based family who claimed that he took money from them in exchange for treating their ailing daughter, who later passed away. Additionally, in 2023, the income-tax department conducted raids at his premises, further intensifying scrutiny over his financial dealings and activities.

    Bajinder Singh Denies All Allegations

Despite mounting accusations, Bajinder Singh has categorically denied all charges against him. He has dismissed the sexual harassment claims as baseless and suggested that fake evidence is being used to frame him. In response to the allegations, he stated, “All accusations against me are false. These days, fake chats can easily be made. They should provide proof. Everyone in the church knows that the complainant suffered from fits and was troubled by evil spirits. People come here for prayers to rid themselves of such troubles. Our job is to pray. She is like our daughter.”

Singh’s followers continue to support him, while his critics demand justice for the victims.

    Who is Bajinder Singh?

Originally from Haryana, Bajinder Singh was born into a Jat family and converted to Christianity over a decade ago. He founded The Church of Glory and Wisdom in Tajpur, Jalandhar, and has another church in Majri, Mohali. Since becoming a preacher in 2012, he has amassed a significant following, with his supporters claiming that his church has branches both in India and abroad.

Singh regularly holds congregations where thousands gather, believing that his prayers can heal ailments. His events are live-streamed on YouTube via his channel, “Prophet Bajinder Singh,” which boasts 3.74 million subscribers.

Despite his growing influence, his legal troubles and recent actions have cast a shadow over his credibility. With multiple investigations ongoing, Singh’s future remains uncertain as authorities continue to probe the allegations against him.
