With the onset of Diwali Festive celebrations, Wave Estate Sector 85 in Mohali, Punjab recently organized a two-day special exhibition for the local community. This two-day event was aimed at promoting local entrepreneurs and residents to showcase their startups and get in touch with the wider community.
It also served as an opportunity for local, home-based, and small-scale startups to set up their stalls, sell their products, and earn money through it.
Unique Exhibitions
The exhibition also attracted home-based creative talents including artisanal bakers, customized candles, clothes, and personalized stationery sellers. Notably, these stalls were kept at a nominal rate to encourage the larger number of stalls and entrepreneurs without much financial strain.
This two-day fun event also comprised a unique exhibition of food stalls, featuring delicate cuisines for the visitors to enjoy. A variety of fun and artistic games and activities like Painting, Rangoli making, and Diya Decoration were also organized for the children to enjoy and take part in the festive vibe. These activities offered children to explore their creative and artistic sides while engaging with the Diwali theme.
The primary focus of the exhibition at the Wava Estate was to welcome the residents to take part in the festive celebrations and have an opportunity to interact with the local community and outsiders.
There was a special play on Drug abuse organized by a team of Brahmkumaris. It was a main part of the attraction on the second day of the workshop.
Special Guest SDM Damandeep Kaur
On the final day of the event, Mohali Sub-Divisional magistrate Damandeep Kaur was the special guest. She addressed the event and praised the organizers for their significant efforts in bringing the community together and enabling them a platform to be a budding entrepreneur.

The organizing team of the two-day exhibition includes Varun Vasudeva, Akhilesh Pratap Singh, Arun Kakkar, Shweta Shukla, Dinesh Wadhwa, Kiran Paul, Praveen Jindal, Sushil Batra, Sanjay Soni, Nidhi Joshi and Jitendra Chaudhary.
Previous Year’s Diwali Festival
Last year, the two-day Diwali festival concluded at Wave Estate, Sector 85 in Mohali, and witnessed a massive gathering of locals and communities. An array of handcrafted items, and stalls, were displayed, which captured the attention of the audience. The kids also had a blast at the event, they participated in various games, and competitions including modeling, painting, Rangoli making, and Diya decorations. The organizing team, ‘We Are Waveians’ expressed their gratitude to everyone to contributed to the festive celebrations.
