The trailer of the upcoming movie ‘Bhool Chook Maaf’ which stars Rajkummar Rao in the lead role has been released. Releasing in theatres on May 9, 2025, it is Rao’s first movie of 2025. Apart from Rajkummar, the movie also stars Wamiqa Gabbi.
Bhool Chook Maaf is Rajkummar Rao’s first release this year, following his incredible performances in 2024 that created a storm in theaters., which will showcase a unique concept of time loop. The movie's trailer was released online on April 10, 2025.
The movie focuses on a man, who is eager to marry his girlfriend and kickstart his wedding ceremonies with the Haldi ritual. However, he soon realizes that he is stuck in a time loop as he wakes up on his Haldi ceremony again and again.
Other co-stars are Sanjay Mishra, Seema Bhargava Pahwa, Zakir Hussain Raghubir Yadav, Ishtiyak Khan, Anubha Fateh Puria, Jay Thakkar, and Pragati Mishra in the pivotal roles.
Rajkummar has starred in several movies in 2024 but his horror-comedy ‘Stree 2’ became a blockbuster. After the massive praise of Stree 2, it was rumoured that he had increased his fee. But the actor has completely dismissed the rumours and said that he does not want to burden his producers.
While reacting to these rumours, Rajkummar Rao told, “I read different figures every day. I’m not stupid to burden my producers. Being a part of the biggest blockbuster is not going to change me as an actor, money is just a byproduct of my passion. I want to work all my life so I keep looking for roles that surprise me, excite me, challenge and help me grow.”
On the work front, Rajkummar Rao will next star in ‘Maalik’. The movie will release on June 20, 2025.

The trailer of Rajkummar Rao's Bhool Chuk Maaf has been released. In the film, the actor plays a common man named Ranjan, who wants to get married to his beloved Titli (played by Wamiqa Gabbi).
Written and directed by Karan Sharma, the film deals with the story of two adults who want to get married and eventually get permission from their families. However, there's a catch, they got stuck in a time loop. So far, the trailer is being received well by the audience.
The trailer begins with the scene where a police officer is seen advising the two adults to get married before they elope again. To which the family members advise Ranjan aka Rajkummar to get a government job in two months to marry their daughter. But the real catch of the film is when the duo got stuck in the time loop of one of their wedding festivities i.e., Haldi day and by the end the actor can be seen venting his anger, confusion and frustration. The film seems like a fun ride for audiences, who prefer family dramas and comedies.
As per the announcement made by the makers of the film, the Rajkummar Rao starrer will hit the screens on May 9, 2025. The film is produced by Dinesh Vijan under the banner of Maddock Films. The production house recently produced hit films like Chhaava and Sky Force in 2025.
Rajkummar Rao is that actor who gave a compelling performance in the cramped survival thriller ‘Trapped’, carrying the entire film on his shoulders. His outstanding performance evoked awe, despair, and hope, keeping viewers on edge and generating curiosity with his unvarnished, heartfelt depiction of captivity and escape.
