While speaking with the media, Akshay requested all Indians to watch the movie carefully and learn about the Important event from the past.
He also made a special request to fans, " I humbly request you all to put your phone in your pockets and listen to every dialogue in this film. It will mean a lot. If you try to check Instagram during the movie, it will be humiliating for the film. So I request everyone to keep their phones away."
Kesari Chapter 2 is set to release on April 18, 2025. This time the director shifts focus from the battlefield heroism of the first film to the courtroom drama following the Jallianwala Bagh massacre of 1919.
Akshay Kumar portrays C. Sankaran Nair, a determined lawyer who takes on the British Empire to uncover the truth and fight for justice for the victims.
Inspired by the book "The Case That Shook The Empire," the film depicts Nair's relentless legal battle against the British, who attempt to cover up the atrocities.
R. Madhavan plays Neville McKinley, the lawyer defending the British Crown, setting up a compelling courtroom face-off. Ananya Panday also stars as a lawyer in this historical drama directed by Karan Singh Tyagi.
The trailer hints at a powerful narrative, highlighting the injustice of the massacre and Nair's courageous fight for accountability against the might of the empire.
Kesari Chapter 2 promises to be a gripping and important cinematic portrayal of a crucial chapter in India's struggle for independence.
