    Exhibition Celebrating 100 Years of India at Olympics

    On Olympics Day, the JSW Group unveiled an exhibition in Paris. This event honored Pierre de Coubertin and celebrated 100 years of India’s Olympic participation.

    The exhibition, titled ‘Genius of Sport,’ was inaugurated at the Town Hall of the 7th Arrondissement on Sunday. Notable figures included Mrs. Sangita Jindal, Chairperson of the JSW Foundation, and Mr. Parth Jindal, Founder of the Inspire Institute of Sport. IOC President Thomas Bach and other dignitaries also attended.

    Mrs. Sangita Jindal expressed JSW Group’s delight in supporting ‘100 Years of India at Olympics’ within the Genius of Sport exhibition. She highlighted that the exhibition celebrates India’s sporting achievements over the past century. It also honors Pierre de Coubertin’s vision of using sport to foster global unity and friendship.

    The exhibition, set to run until the conclusion of the Paris 2024 Summer Paralympic Games in September, showcases India’s Olympic journey. It emphasizes historical successes and recent resurgence in sports.

    Mr. Parth Jindal echoed the sentiment of promoting Pierre de Coubertin’s ideals in today’s world. He stressed sport as a catalyst for peace and cooperation among nations. He underscored JSW Sports’ commitment to advancing the Olympic movement globally. Initiatives like the Inspire Institute of Sport will see nearly 30 athletes representing India at the upcoming Games.

    IOC President Thomas Bach commended the exhibition as a tribute to Coubertin’s impact on global sport. He highlighted France’s pride in its visionary native. Ambassador Jawed Ashraf of India to France expressed gratitude to JSW Group for organizing the exhibition. He emphasized its role in fostering cultural exchange and celebrating India’s growing influence in international sports.

    The Genius of Sport exhibition, in collaboration with the Pierre de Coubertin Family Association, offers visitors a comprehensive insight into Coubertin’s life and work.
