Indian Cricketer Shubman Gill Creates History

Managed to score his 7th ODI ton within 95 balls

During India Vs England, 3rd One Day International; Indian Cricketer Shubman Gill has created a unique record with his historic hundred against England.

Shubman now becomes the first-ever Indian cricketer to score a ton across all international formats, plus IPL, at the Narendra Modi Stadium.

Indian white-ballcricketvice-captain Shubman Gill has created history at the Narendra Modi Stadium in Ahmedabad on 12th February, as the ‘Prince’ becomes the first-ever Indian cricketer to smash an ‘All-Format Ton’ at the venue.

Shubman is now the only cricketer to register triple-figures in Tests, T20I’s, and ODI’s at the venue. Not only this, the Gujarat Titans captain managed to score a ton in the Indian Premier League at the venue.

The Narendra Modi Stadium, also known as theMotera Stadium, is an international cricket stadium located in the city of Ahmedabad in the Indian state of Gujarat.

The Indian opener managed to score his 7thODIton within 95 balls, before his dismissal at the hands of Adil Rashid.

The right-handed batsman scored 112 runs off 102 deliveries, which included 14 fours and 3 sixes.

Thus, Shubman Gill closes in on top spot in ODI batting rankings, by smashing century during third ODI against England. During his innings, Gill also became the quickest to complete 2,500 runs in ODIs.

The 25-year-old stitched a crucial 116-run partnership for the second wicket with Virat Kohli after India lost skipper Rohit Sharma in the second over of the match.

Gill, who struck his third consecutive score of 50 runs or more in the format, closed in on the top spot in the latest ICC Mens ODI Batting Rankings, just behind former Pakistan captain Babar Azam.

Shubman moved up a place from third owing to his stellar form of late. Meanwhile, Rohit dropped one position to third, while Kohli slipped two places to sit sixth in the rankings. India middle-order batter Shreyas Iyer broke into the top 10, moving up one place from 11th in the standings.
