32-year-old Raveena and Suresh met on Instagram and started making short videos together in Haryana's Prem Nagar. They created content together for around one and a half years despite her husband Praveen and his family's objection.

Through short videos and dance reels, she accumulated over 34,000 followers on Instagram. Her video series of YouTube also had other artists.

Obsessed with making videos, Raveena continued with content creation despite her family's strong objection, even quarreling with her husbandabout the issue. On March 25, 2025; 35-year-old Praveen saw both of them in an objectionable position and got into a fight.

Raveena and Suresh then strangled him with a dupatta, killing him. When family members inquired about Praveen's whereabouts, she pretended to not know.

Later that night, around 2.30 am, the two allegedly took Praveen's body on a bike and dumped it in a drain six kilometres from Raveena's house.

On March 28, Praveen's rotting body was found by the police. Later, CCTV visuals of the roads leading up to her house showed a person on a bike with a helmet and Raveena riding pillion with her face covered. Praveen's body was in the middle of the rider and pillion.

Around two hours later, she returned home sitting pillion with the same rider and on the same bike. At this time, the body in the middle was missing.

Both Raveena and Suresh have been sent to jail. The woman and Praveen's six-year-old son is now living with his grandfather Subhash and uncle Sandeep.

Cases on the Rise

The murder comes a month after a man and a woman killed her husband in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut, chopped his body into pieces and sealed them in a drum using cement.

Another case too sent shock waves, which even led a man to get his wife married to her lover to avoid such a nasty fate.

Raveena has over 34,000 followers on Instagram and over 5,000 on her YouTube channel. The videos are mostly comical and on family issues. Ironically, these videos took her away from her actual family.

Raveena was married to Praveen (35) and the couple has a six-year-old son. She would often travel for shoots and was busy making content. Praveen and others in the family had objected to this and there were frequent arguments, but she would not listen.

Suresh has told the police that Raveena was out for a shoot and returned to Praveen's home in Bhiwani on March 25. Suresh met her there and the two were in an intimate act when Praveen saw them. In the altercation that followed, he was choked to death.

Ravina pretended to be normal through the day. When relatives asked her where Praveen was, she said she did not know. She waited for the night, when Suresh came on his bike and the two left to dispose of the body.

Around 2.30 am on March 26, Ravina and Suresh put Praveen's body between them on a bike and went to a drain about 6 km away. They threw the body in a drain and returned. Three days later, police recovered Praveen's rotting body from the drain and a probe followed. CCTV footage from the area showed three people on a bike, but when the bike returned, one of them was missing. Police identified the riders and then grilled Ravina and Suresh. The two confessed to the crime.

The murder comes a month after a pair of lovers comprising Muskan Rastogi and Sahil killed Muskan’s husband in Uttar Pradesh's Meerut; chopped his body into pieces; and, sealed them in a drum using cement. The case had sent severe shock waves across the country.

Muskan, the woman who has been jailed for the alleged murder of her husband, a Merchant Navy officer, has tested positive for pregnancy. Her pregnancy was confirmed when a team from the district hospital reached the jail following a formal request from prison authorities. Chief Medical Officer Ashok Kataria confirmed Muskan's pregnancy test result.

Muskan Rastogi (27) and her lover Sahil Shukla (25) are accused of killing 29-year-old Saurabh Rajput.

Saurabh Rajput's gruesome murder came to light last month after his body was later found chopped into pieces and hidden inside a cement-sealed drum.

Muskan and Saurabh had a love marriage in 2016 and had been living in a rented house with their five-year-old daughter for the past three years. While Saurabh worked at a bakery in London, Muskan and Sahil started having an affair.

Saurabh had returned to Meerut from London. His wife and her lover stabbed him to death, and sealed his body in a cement-filled drum. Muskan had reportedly told neighbors and acquaintances that Saurabh had gone to a hill station. She and Sahil later travelled to Manali and posted pictures from Saurabh’s phone on his social media accounts to mislead family and friends.
