    Kareena Kapoor Khan Turns Producer with ‘The Buckingham Murders’

    Actress Kareena Kapoor Khan, who has numerous hits to her credit including Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gam, Jab We met and many more, is now a producer to her upcoming movie, ‘The Buckingham Murders’. The movie is directed by Hansal Mehta and co-produced by Ekta Kapoor.  

    The formidable team of director Hansal Mehta, producer Ekta Kapoor, and star Kareena Kapoor came together for the Buckingham Murders trailer launch in Mumbai on September 3, 2024.  

    Regarding her performance, Kareena revealed that she related strongly to the character. She felt that the character has a lot of depth and soul. Kareena said that that it was the ideal moment for her to embody and experience the character. The movie is also different from this year’s other movies, Crew and Jaane Jaan. Furthermore, she believes that an actor should try out doing new roles every now and then. In terms of juggling her personal and professional lives, she relishes the hustle. Being a wife and mother at the same time is something she enjoys doing.

    At the trailer launch, she then said that they all are very fond of the movie and language doesn’t matter, what matters is what you are producing. They all have put their heart into the movie. She’s grateful to Ekta for believing in her and standing by her side. Hansal Mehta revealed some BTS moments. During the London filming, Jeh Ali Khan, the youngest of Kareena and Saif Ali Khan, was present on the set. Hansal’s commandeered, “Jeh took away a continuity prop,” had Kareena, Ekta, and the audience in stitches. 

    Kareena Kapoor Khan filmed in London for the crime thriller directed by Hansal Mehta. At this workcation, her son Jeh Ali Khan accompanied her. She used to take days off work to go sightseeing with Jeh back in 2022.  

    Plot Overview

    ‘In The Buckingham Murders, Kareena Kapoor Khan plays detective Jasmeet Bhamra, a mother and detective. When her own child died, she is forced to look into the murder of a ten-year-old in Buckinghamshire. The residents of the small town are made into suspects as she goes down a secretive rabbit hole.

    The film has an outstanding ensemble cast that includes Kareena Kapoor Khan, Ash Tandon, Ranveer Brar, and Keith Allen. It is a Mahana Films and TBM Films production, presented by Balaji Telefilms, and produced by Shobha Kapoor, Ektaa R Kapoor, and first-time producer Kareena Kapoor Khan.
