Diwali Box-Office Clash: ‘Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3’ Vs ‘Singham Again’

The Indian box office geared up for a major clash this Diwali as two highly anticipated movies, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again, on November 1, 2024. Both films made a box-office clash and drew larger audiences, keeping the audience anticipating this clash.
On their opening day, Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3, starring Kartik Aaryan, earned an impressive IN 35.50 crore at the Indian box office. Meanwhile, Singham Again starring Ajay Devgn, had an even stronger debut, collecting IN 43.50 crore on its first day. Both movies had excellent openings, reflecting keen awaiting by fans.
Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 is a horror comedy film directed by Anees Bazmee. The plot centers on Ruhaan, a con artist who pretends to be a ghostbuster named Rooh Baba. He is hired by a royal family to deal with the haunting of their century-old mansion by the spirit of Manjulika. However, the situation gets complicated when Ruhaan encounters not one, but two evil forces claiming to be Manjulika, The film is packed with humor, suspense, and an unexpected twist in the climax.
The main cast of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 features Kartik Aaryan as Ruhaan/Rooh Baba, Vidya Balan as Manjulika, Madhuri Dixit as another version of Manjulika, and Triptii Dimri as Meera. Their performances are touted to bring depth and humor to the film, making it a highly anticipated sequel.
Singham Again directed by Rohit Shetty continued the saga enhanced by an intriguing twist inspired by the Ramayana. DCP Bajirao Singham is now married to Avni Kamat and father to their son Shaurya. He is transferred to Srinagar. He faces off Omar Hafeez, the Chief of Lashkar, who initiated a drug trade in Sri Lanka. To dismantle the drug syndicate, Home Minister Raj Jaishankar formed the Shiva Squad led by Singham. After arresting Omar, Singham receives threats of retaliation targeting him, Simmba, and Sooryavanshi.
Anvi hosts atheatre production of Ramlila, however Singham intercepting drug syndicate leads to confrontations and kidnapping of Avni. Singham discovers Zubair Hafeez and Iqra Hafeez, Omars relatives, kidnapping Avni out of revenge. With the help of Simmba Sooryavanshi, Singham recuses Avni in an epic climactic battle in Colombo.
The cast of Singham Again is star-studded, starring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor Khan, Arjun Kapoor, Deepika Padukone, Ranveer Singh, and Akshay Kumar. Their collective star power attracted significant interest in the film.
The concurrent release of Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 and Singham Again created a significant buzz. Both films catered to different genreshorror-comedy and actionattracting a diverse range of audiences.
